German jewellery designer and master craftsman goldsmith Boris Jakob has established his own distinguished jewellery workshop and studio in the picturesque setting of Mallorca. His professional journey as a goldsmith began in 1986 when he joined the team of Peter Thate von Dein in Meerbusch, where he honed his skills. Following this foundational experience, he undertook his journeyman years and worked in various esteemed goldsmith studios in Düsseldorf, further refining his craft. In 1994, inspired by the allure of Mallorca, he made the significant decision to relocate and open his own workspace and studio in the charming northern part of the island, specifically in Pollença. In 2008, he took an additional step by relocating his shop to the beautiful old town of Palma. The studio, which features an adjacent open workspace, provides clients with the unique opportunity to observe the artist in action, directly engaging with the creative process within his studio.

Boris Jakob's creations are inspired by nature, architecture and the world of fashion. One of his extraordinary talents is working with cuttlebone as a mold. An ancient technique that is barely known and rarely used in today’s jewellery making.
